| Tour heads east past the Mustang Ranch to the Fallon Naval Air Station for a guided tour of the base. En route, sit back and relax as our guide fills you in on the history and characters of Northern Nevada. Upon arrival at the base, be met by your docent and enjoy a three-hour tour of the complex. The Fallon NAS is home to the Fighting Saints of VFC-13, the Desert Outlaws of Strike Fighter Weapons Det., and the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center. It is known throughout the Navy as the only facility in existence where an entire carrier air wing can conduct comprehensive training while integrating every element of the wing into realistic battle scenarios. The 14,000-foot runway remains the longest in the Navy, making Fallon a one-stop training facility. After your tour, enjoy a hosted lunch in the Officer's Club followed by time at the Navy Exchange. Travel then heads back to Reno via Fernley (cite of the Truckee Canal collapse this winter) with narration about the area en route.. | ||

| Your journey takes you over Geiger Grade giving you panoramic views of Reno, the Washoe Valley and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Your professional step-on guide will tell you all about the history, geology and characters of the area as you ride along. Upon arrival at Virginia City, enjoy a brief driving tour followed by 2 ½ hours in this former gold and silver rush town to explore and sightsee. Walk along the wooden sidewalks of yesteryear as you browse through the saloons, museums, casinos and gift shops. Enjoy a hosted buffet lunch at the historic Delta. Travel then continues to Nevadas Capitol City, Carson City. Here you will take a guided driving tour of the historic sites and then visit the Nevada State Museum, formerly the US Mint. Here you will enjoy the exhibits, the western town and mine re-creation, and displays giving you an overview of Nevadas history. | ||

| Experience Americas most dramatic road show as you travel to the nearby National Automobile Museum which was built in honor of the machines that have touched us all. You dont have to be a car buff. Everyone, including the ladies will enjoy this museum! Next, enjoy a no host lunch stop at a local mall complete with discount coupons and featuring a food court as well as restaurants. Continuing, youll see points of interests to include the new River Walk and Kayak Adventure area, the Nevada Museum of Art, the University of Reno Campus, Windy Hill, Millionaires Row and much more. | ||

| Your group will be conveniently picked up at the Silver Legacy Valet Entrance at 4:00pm and travel via motorcoach to nearby Zephyr Cove on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. A local step-on guide will accompany you and fill you in on all the history and characters of the area. En route, stop in Carson City, Nevada’s State Capital. Here you will enjoy a driving tour of the historic home district. Highlights include the Governor’s Mansion, the Bliss Estate, the Ferris Home, the Krebs-Peterson Home (film location of John Wayne’s last movie, “The Shootist”), and the Nevada State Museum (formerly the U.S. Mint). After your tour continue to Zephyr Cove and board the MS Dixie II for a delightful dinner/dance cruise to Emerald Bay, perhaps one of the most photographed sites in the western United States. Narration complements the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe as you take in dazzling vistas of the Sierra, the dramatic splendor of Emerald Bay, Fannette Island and the unique Vikingsholm Castle. A plated dinner will be served with your choice of three entrée’s during your cruise. Sit back and relax as you sail along the pristine waters of Lake Tahoe, enjoying fine food followed by music to dance the night away. Return to Reno upon cruise completion with arrival scheduled for 11:00pm. | ||

| Visit Donner Memorial State Park and take in the video presentation depicting the ill-fated Donner Partys stay during the severe winter of 1846-47 and then have time to walk along the trail where you can still see the cabin ruins. Travel then continues to Truckee for a short driving tour to learn about the history and characters of this historic California town. At the Train Depot tourism representatives will greet you and give you a packet of information about the town where youll have a short time to enjoy the many shops, galleries and boutiques along the main street before departure. Continue to Squaw Valley, home of the 1960 Winter Olympics, with time to enjoy the annual Octoberfest Celebration and the shops in the Village. Lunch is included in a quaint Truckee bar/restaurant. | ||
