GOLF
There are over 50 golf courses in the area. I’ve chosen two courses owned by the Reno/Sparks Convention Authority for their reasonable greens fees and very short commute from the hotel. Rental clubs are available at both courses and should be reserved ASAP as the supply is limited, particularly at Wildcreek.

Northgate Golf Club (775) 747-7577, named as one of the best new courses in the country by Golf Magazine (1989), is affectionately referred to as "The St. Andrews of the Sierra" offering players a challenging Scottish links-style golf experience. The course was honored to host the 1991 and 1992 Ben Hogan Reno Open and U.S. Open qualifying tournaments. It ambles through the natural contours of canyons and arroyos, which means each shot tests your strategic and shot-making skills. This course is located high on a mountainside and can be subjected to windy conditions. Bring a wind jacket!
Wildcreek Golf Course (775) 673-3100 has spectacular views of Reno and the surrounding Sierra Nevada, and will challenge even the most discriminating golfer. Three-time host to the PGA Senior Tour, variety is its signature where you'll face everything from the 150 yard uphill par three to the 515 yard par five. Wildcreek has been recognized as one of the West Coast's finest golf courses. We’re only planning the PAR THREE COURSE on Friday but if you’d rather play the long course, feel free.
